Misery - Audition Information

Show Synopsis:

Set in 1987, in the snowy mountains of Colorado, Misery follows Paul Sheldon, author of the successful Misery romance novel series, after he crashes his car in the middle of a storm, and his saviour Annie Wilkes, who just so happens to be his number one fan. Annie brings the severely injured Paul back to the comfort and safety of her home, which is seemingly in the middle of nowhere with nobody around for miles.

Luckily for Paul, Annie is a former nurse who is most certainly qualified to fix him right up, at least that’s what Annie would have him believe. However, Paul very quickly comes to realize that Annie has plucked him out of the frying pan and tucked him right into the warm embrace of the fire. He knows he must escape as Annie has no intention of ever letting him go. However, he also knows that, in his condition, he is fully reliant on Annie and the pills she gives him to keep him alive. But will Annie still want him alive when she learns how the newest Misery novel ends?
